Ticket and Payment Type

Shenzhen urban metro implements the One-Person-One-Ticket policy. Tickets and payments used for travelling on the metro include: Single Journey Tickets, Multi-ride Tickets, One-Day Tickets, Three-Day Tickets, Children’s Tickets, Luggage Tickets, Shenzhen Tong Cards, Shenzhen Tong Preferential Cards, China T-union Cards (issued by local or non-local banks), Shenzhen Metro Ticket QR Codes, Shenzhen Tong QR Codes, Financial Integrated Circuit(IC) Cards, and other tickets issued independently by operators. 

Tickets and Cards

1．Single Journey Ticket: The tickets are sold to passengers for one ride on the train and are collected when passengers exit the gate after the whole process of issuance, entry and checking. There are two kinds of the single journey ticket: Ordinary Class (green) and Business Class (yellow).

2.Multi-ride Ticket：This ticket is for limited use by one person within the valid period and within the specified section.

3. One-Day Ticket：The ticket is used by one person within 24 hours from the first entry regardless of the number of times and mileage.

 Three -day Ticket: The ticket is used by one person within72 hours from the first entry regardless of the number of times and mileage.

4.Children’s Ticket：The paper-based dedicated ticket is required for children who are 1.2-1.5m tall or 6-14 years old to take the metro.

5.Luggage Ticket：Passengers carrying articles weighing more than 20kg but not more than 30kg or the external dimension sum of the length, width and height measured 1.4m to 1.6m, shall purchase a luggage ticket equivalent to the ordinary class carriage fare.

6.ShenZhen Tong Card: The public transport ticket card that can store value for consumption issued by Shenzhen Tong Company according to regulations.

7.ShenZhen Tong Preferential Card: This is the preferential public transport cards issued by Shenzhen Tong Company according to regulations of the municipal government.
8.China T-union Card:The card is printed with the logo of “China T-union”

logo,and can be used in multiple cities across the country to take all kinds of rail transit, which is divided into two types: one issued in Shenzhen and the other issued in other cities.

9. Shenzhen Metro Ticket QR Code: The QR code payment product, which has the function of scanning the code for rides, can be used on all lines within Shenzhen's rail transit.

10. Shenzhen Tong QR Code: The QR code payment product, which has the function of scanning the code for rides, can be used on all lines within Shenzhen's rail transit. 

11. Financial IC Card: It refers to the chip card that issued by banks and marked with Unionpay

and Quickpass (or),including the debit card and credit card; or mobile device carrying financial IC card information (such as mobile phone Pay and wearable device, etc.).

Ticket Issuing

1. Single Journey Ticket: According to the requirements of normal epidemic prevention and control, the self-service of the Ticket Vending Machines has been suspended during the epidemic prevention and control period. If you need any help, please step to the Customer Service Center.

2. Multi-ride Ticket: The ticket is available in limited quantity and sold on Wechat Official Account of Shenzhen Metro Way. 

3. （1）Day Ticket: The ticket is sold at the Customer Service Center of the following stations and  the price of ￥25 Yuan each.

Line 1:Qianhaiwan Station, Luohu Station

Line 3:Futian Station,Buji Station

Line 5:Shenzhenbei Station

Line 7:Fumin Station

Line 9:Yinhu Station

Line 11: Airport Station

4. Shenzhen Tong Card:  According to the requirements of normal epidemic prevention and control, ShenZhen Tong card has been suspended during the epidemic prevention and control period. If you need to consult other ticketing outlets, please call ShenZhen Tong service hotline: 0755-86699000.

5. Shenzhen Tong Preferential Card: The card is issued by Shenzhen Tong Company (including ShenZhen Tong Student Card, Shenzhen Children’s Card etc.) For details, please call ShenZhen Tong service hotline: 0755-86699000.

6. China T-union Card: The card (issued by local banks) can be purchased at Shenzhen Tong’s own counters or through "Shenzhen Tong" APP. At present, there is no service for sale, recharge, or refund/replacement of China T-union Card (issued by non-local banks) in this city.

7. Shenzhen Metro Ticket QR Code: You can register, open an account through a smart phone at Wechat Transit QR Code Mini Program, the official Shenzhen Metro App, MTR (SZ) live+ Mini Program or Shenzhen Metro E-Travel Mini Program and activate the account’s ticket function. After successful opening of the account, you can scan the generated Transit QR Code to pass through the ticket gate for the train.

8. Shenzhen Tong QR Code: Passengers can register an account through a smart phone at the official Shenzhen Tong App, Wechat Shenzhen Tong+ Mini Program, I Shenzhen APP or other Internet platforms. After successful opening of the account, Passengers can scan the generated Shenzhen Tong QR Code to pass through the gate for riding.

9. Financial IC Card: If you use a financial IC card to take the metro, please open the small amount password-free function at first, and ensure that the available balance of the card is no less than the maximum Single Journey Ticket fare of the ordinary class carriage（13 Yuan）.

10. Children’s Ticket & Luggage Ticket: The paper-based dedicated ticket is sold at the Customer Service Center in the station.
